The ID Validation feature in Visitly is designed to enhance visitor security by verifying identification details.
What Does ID Validation Do?
When enabled, the ID Validation feature extracts and verifies key information from a visitor’s ID, including:
Full Name
Address
Date of Birth (DOB)
ID Expiry Date
If the ID is expired or invalid, an automatic validation failure occurs. Additionally, watchlist rules can be set up to trigger alerts based on the validity of the visitor’s ID.
How To Set Up ID Validation
Enable this feature for specific visitor types.
1. Log in to your Visitly Dashboard.
2. Navigate to Locations.
3. Select the location where you want to activate ID Validation and click Edit.
4. In the left menu, go to Visitor Types.
5. Select the Visitor Type for which you want to validate IDs and click Edit.
6. Enable ID Capture, then enable ID Validation.
7. Click Save to apply the changes.
How To Configure A Watchlist Rule For ID Validation
Set up automated notifications when an ID is invalid.
1. Navigate to Global or Local Watchlist.
2. Click on Add New.
3. Select ID Validation as the rule type.
4. Choose the Status that should trigger a watchlist flag.
5. Save the rule to activate it.
